To create mentally healthy workplaces it’s vital to build supportive relationships between managers and team members.

A comprehensive programme which empowers managers with the key skills and assurance to navigate mental health discussions, acting as a catalyst for change. Through our training, managers become proficient in recognising early signs of poor mental health within their teams. They will be able to direct individuals towards the right resources, and become a self-care role model. Providing a consistent approach to mental health and wellbeing, promoting healthy performance across the whole organisation. 

The course is evidence-based and suitable for a wide range of organisations, delivered only by those with people management experience.

Course Content

Your managers will learn to:  

  • Identify if an employee may be experiencing poor mental health

  • Feel confident having open conversations about mental health with your team members

  • Appropriately signpost to available support and know where to go for support and guidance for yourself

  • Role model good self-care practice, inspiring your team to look after their own mental health and wellbeing


  • This 4 hour course can be delivered either face-to-face in-house or via online video conferencing

  • Immersive live training session, led by an experienced Instructor Member with management experience

  • Flexible integrated platform gives learners opportunities to practice embedding their skills through group activities and discussions to share best practice

  • The course can be delivered to a maximum of 16 people to allow for rich discussion


Everyone who completes the course gets:

  • A certificate of attendance

  • Tools to take care of their own mental health as a manager and empower their teams

  • Digital workbook to use during the course

  • Digital support resource to help embed ongoing learning and development


MHFA England value this course at £150 per person. 

In-house courses are priced at £2400 for a maximum of 16 participants.
